  • 250 g pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 250 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: parsley or thyme for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until soft and lightly browned.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the cream, season with salt and black pepper, and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with parsley or thyme if desired.
