  • 200 g egg noodles (or instant noodles)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 taespoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 taespoon sesame oil
  • 1 taespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon pasta water
  • Fresh green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the cooking water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and chili flakes, sauté for 30–40 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, honey, and the reserved pasta water.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss well for 1–2 minutes until fully coated.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.
